Clarity Comes After Movement
I was using ChatGPT on a movement-related topic over the past month, and it generated the following statement:
“Clarity comes after movement.”
This statement was succinct for me, and in recent days, it has made me reflect on how true it is both literally and metaphorically.
When I was a kid, I loved running around. Playing soccer, football, riding my bike, skiing - just being in motion.
But it's easy to lose this playfulness as we grow up. Career, work, financial pressure, and physical injuries move us away from play and movement toward stagnant energy, and a daily life far removed from what it was like when we were young.
For me, I’ve noticed more and more that it is literally moving my body, even a little bit, or moving to a new environment that allows the clarity I often seek to surface. And I sense I’m not alone in this need.
With that in mind, I’m gonna ride my bike - and move.
